What is the Family Preservation Program?

Services offered under this program are geared to promote the physical, emotional, social, educational and cultural development of children in a safe and nurturing environment by providing families who are experiencing problems in family functioning with:

    In-home outreach visits

    Counseling

    Parenting training

    Adult role model

    In-home emergency caretaker

    Child focus activities

    Self-help family support groups

    Therapeutic day treatment

    Teaching and demonstrating homemaking

If you are receiving CalWORKs benefits and you are participating in the Department of Children and Family Services, Family Preservation Program, let your Eligibility or GAIN Worker know. Some of these services can be included in your Welfare-to-Work plan.
