Refugee Employment Program (REP)
The Refugee Employment Program (REP) is a program designed to provide employment and training services for refugees residing in the United States (US) for five (5) years or less and asylees residing in the US for 5 years from the date they are granted asylum.
The REP Program provides outreach, case management, placement services to refugees. The program also assists refugees to adjust and adapt to the American workplace, learn English, and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency to end their dependence on welfare. Services under this program are available to refugees who are aided through the CalWORKs, Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), and General Relief (GR) Program or not aided through a public assistance program.
