Healthy Way LA (HWLA), a no cost health care program available to Los Angeles County residents, was created to expand
health care coverage to eligible, low-income uninsured residents of LA County, by which patients are assigned to a "medical home"
at DHS Comprehensive Health Centers or Community Partner. Benefits include all primary and preventive care services, access
to specialty services, access to mental health services, 24/7 customer service and nurse advice lines and improved access
to appointments. HWLA enrollees will also be issued a card identifying their participation in the program.
