Before and After School Programs
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Before and after school programs provide education and recreation, including homework assistance, for children from first through sixth grades in a supervised, safe setting.  Children attend these programs at various public schools throughout Los Angeles County.

The program is available to eligible school-aged children based on space availability at the schools that offer before and after school care.

The preferred placement for 11 and 12-year old children in subsidized child care is in a before or after school program.
Who Runs the Programs?
Each School District is responsible for its Before and After School Program.
