Welcome and thank you for visiting the website for the Appeals & State Hearings Section (ASH) within the Program Compliance Division and the Bureau of Special Operations.

The Los Angeles County Appeals & State Hearings Section, within the Department of Public Social Services, is the largest in the State of California. At present, ASH has an allocation of 105 Appeals Hearing Specialists and 18 Supervising Appeals Hearing Specialists in the Department of Public Social Services allocated to handle approximately one third of the appeals filed in the State.

We are proud to offer a site with access to ASH related information that is easy to follow and provides helpful information for use by County staff as well as the public.
