MILLION MEALS FOR HAITI Volunteer Opportunity

Through a partnership with Numana, Inc. – a non-profit organization dedicated to relieving hunger all over the world – volunteers will roll up their sleeves and form a massive assembly line as they pack 1 million meals containing rice, soy protein, freeze-dried vegetables and 21 vitamins and minerals. This is the first food packing event of its kind in the West and will take place at The Salvation Army’s home base for disaster relief supplies at Bell Warehouse located at 5600 Rickenbacker Road in Bell, Calif. Over a twenty-four hour period, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on both March 12 and 13, an army of volunteers will assemble these nutritious food packages that will be shipped to Haiti within 48 hours.
